It’s Oscar time again! As I write Gravity just won Best Visual Effects! I’m expecting great things for Gravity today. Director Alfonso Cuaron created a film that was also an experience; that was, apart from several physical issues, perhaps more science fact than science fiction, such was the sense of presence and realism the director imbued.

The Academy has never awarded Best Picture to a science fiction film, but I’m expecting Gravity to at least sweep the technical awards categories, perhaps cinematography and Best Director.

Anyway, what do you think? Who do you expect to win the top prize?
